A gas water heater is a tank that holds water inside that heats water from a gas-fired burner located at the bottom of the tank. The gas water heater uses a gas valve device to heat the water inside of the tank by controlling gas supply to the pilot and allow the pilot to be lit. The lit pilot heats the thermocouple, and thermocouple, give signal to gas valve that pilot is on. Gas valve opening and closing the incoming gas to the water heater based on the temperature setting. Gas water heaters come to 20-gallon, 50-gallons for residential water heater and commercial come up 120gallon.
